hey mate

here is the answer....

Answer:

we know that,

angle of minimum deviation=(r.i-1)*angle of prism

=(1.52-1)*4.5

=0.52*4.5

=2.34

Dear Student,

● Answer -

δm = 26.14°

◆ Explanation -

# Given -

n = 1.52

A = 45°

# Solution -

Refractive index of a material is -

n = sin[(A+δm)/2] / sin(A/2)

1.52 = sin[(45+δm)/2]/sin(45/2)

1.52 × sin(45/2) = sin[(45+δm)/2]

1.52 × 0.3827 = sin[(45+δm)/2]

0.5817 = sin[(45+δm)/2]

(45+δm)/2 = arcsin(0.5817)

(45+δm)/2 = 35.57

45 + δm = 35.57 × 2

δm = 71.14 - 45

δm = 26.14°

Hence, angle of minimum deviation is 26.14°.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
