let the angles be x

2x

5x

8x

sum of all angles of a quadrilateral= 360

2x+3x+5x+8x = 360

18x = 360

x = 360/18

x.= 20

so,

2x = 40

3x = 60

5x = 100

8x = 160

Explanation :-

Given :-

  • The angle of quadrilateral are in the rario 2:3:5:8.

To Find :-

  • All angles of quadrilateral.

Solution :-

Let the angles be 2x, 3x, 5x and 8x.

We know that,

Sum of all angles in Quadrilateral = 360°

➞ 2x + 3x + 5x + 8x = 360°

➞ 10x + 8x = 360°

➞ 18x = 360°

➞ x = 360 ÷ 18.

x = 20°

Therefore, The angles are :-

  • 1st Angle = 2x = 40°
  • 2nd Angle = 3x = 60°
  • 3rd Angle = 5x = 100°
  • 4th Angle = 8x = 160°

Verification :-

➞ 2x + 3x + 5x + 8x = 360°

➞ 40° + 60° + 100° + 160° = 360°

➞ 200° + 160° = 360°

➞ 360° = 360°

LHS = RHS.
