The angle of rotation of the axes to eliminate the xy term ( product term) in the equation

ax²+2hxy + by² + 2gx + 2fy + c= 0 is 1/2 Tan⁻1 ( 2h/a-b) , if a≠0 and π/4, if a=b.

if a=b then, angle =1/2×tan(infinity)
=1/2×pi/2=pi/4
