Answer:

angle 1 = 20°

angle 2 = 160°

Explanation:

Let angles 1 = x and 2 = y

so,

x + y = 180°

x = 180 - y

Then

x = 120 + 2y

put the value of x

=180 - y = 120 + 2y

=180 - 120 = 2y + y

=60 = 3y

=y = 20°

x = 180 - y

x = 180 - 20

x = 160°

LET

TWO ANGLES ARE X AND Y

LET X >Y

AS BOTH ARE SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLES SO

X + Y = 180 ------- equation 1

Now,

It is given that big angle (X) is 120 more than 2 times of small angle (Y)

SO

X = 120 + 2Y ----------- equation 2

Put value of equation 2 in 1

so

120 +2Y +Y = 180

3Y = 180 - 120

3Y = 60

Y = 60/3

Y = 20

PUT VALUE OF Y IN EQUATION 1

X + Y = 180

X + 20 = 180 DEGREE

X = 160 DEGRÈE
