The angles of a quadrilateral are in the ratio 2:4:5:7. Find the angles.

Answer:

sum of the angles of a quadrilateral=360°

2x+4x+5x+7x=360°

18x=360°

x=360°÷18

x=20

2x=40°

4x=80°

5x=100°

7x=140°

let the angle of quadrilateral X

angles are in ratio = 2:4:5:7

first angle is 2x

second angle is 4x

third angle is 5x

fourth angle is 7x

sum of angles of quadrilateral = 360°

so, by using angle sum property of quadrilateral

2x + 4x + 5x + 7x = 360°

18x = 360

X = 20°-------------- 1

by using 1

we get ,

first angle is 2x = 2(20) = 40°

second angle is 4x= 4(20) = 80°

third angle is 5x = 5(20) = 100°

fourth angle is 7x = 7(20) = 140°
