Question

Angles of a triangle are in the ratio 2:3:4.then find the angles

Medium

Solution

Angle sum property of a triangle is 180degrees. It is given that the angles are in the ratio 2:3:4.

So let us consider the angles as 2x,3x and 4x.

2x+3x+4x=9x

Angle sum of triangle is 180∘

so 9x=180

or x=9180=20∘

∴,2x=2×20=40∘

3x=3×20=60∘

and 4x=4×20∘=80∘

∴ the angles are 40∘,60∘,80∘
