Given :-

Angles of triangle

x° ,y° and 40°

and x-y= 30

To Find :-

W have find the value of x and y

Solution :-

x-y= 30

x= 30+y - - - - - (i)

As we know that sum of angles of a triangle = 180°

Now ,.

→x+y+40=180

→ x+y= 180-40

→ x+y= 140

Put value of x from eq.(i)

→ 30+y+y=140

→ 30+2y=140

→ 2y=140-30

→ 2y=110

→ y= 110/2

° y= 55°

Now we have to find the value of x

substitute value of y in equation (i)

→ x=30+y

→ x= 30+55

x= 85°

So option (3) is the correct option

Answer:

Given :-

  • Sum of two angles = x + y + 40
  • Difference between two = 30⁰

To Find :-

x and y

Solution :-

Here,

 \implies x - y = 30

 \implies x = 30 + y {Eq 1}

Now,

 \implies x + y + 40 = 180

 \implies x + y = 140

Now

 \implies 30 + y + y = 140

 \implies 2y = 140 - 30

 \implies 2y = 110

 \implies y = 110/2

 \implies y = 55⁰

Now

 \implies x = 55 + 30

 \implies x = 85⁰
