The angles of depression of two ships from the top of a from the top of a light house are 45°and 30° towards east. If the ships are 100m apart , the height of the light house is?

I know the answer but I want explanation.

I'm doing this with unitary method.
If we check In ∆ABC we find AB=BC=1 (by triplet of 1,1,√2 for angleC=45°)
and now check in ∆ABD here AB=1 & BD=√3 ( by triplet 1, √3, 2 for angle D=30°)
so we have CD = (√3-1 )
and the value of CD is given 100 in the question
