consider a tower of length x. and then take two point at distances 5m & 10 m from the base of tower.

The point at the 10 m distance substitute an angle Thita and the point at distance 5m far from the base substitute an angle (90- thita)=. complementary of thita.
then fin Tan(thita) for both both angles and the equate them.

eg;- Tan thita for 1st point = x/10 and for 2nd point Cot thita = x/5 => tan thita 5/x
therefore x/10 = 5/x
