Answer:

let angles be x and 90 - x

therefore,

              90 - x = x + 38

              2x = 90 - 38

              2x = 52

              x = 52 / 2

              x = 26

thus 2nd angle = 90 - 26

                         = 64

therefore the angles are : 26° and 64°

The angles are 64 degrees and 26 degrees

Solution:

Complementary angles are angles whose sum is 90 degrees

Let the two angles be "x" and "y"

x + y = 90 --------- eqn 1

Given that,

The angles differ by 38 degrees. Therefore,

x = y + 38 ----- eqn 2

Let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2

Substitute eqn 2 in eqn 1

y + 38 + y = 90

2y + 38 = 90

2y = 90 - 38

2y = 52

y = 26

Substitute y = 26 in eqn 2

x = 26 + 38

x = 64

Thus the angles are 64 degrees and 26 degrees
