t takes 60 minutes for the minute hand to make one complete revolution. There are 360 degrees in one complete revolution. That’s leaves 360 degrees/60 minutes or 6 degrees/minute.

Thus six minutes would result in moving 36 degrees!

The Minute hand covers 360° in 60 minutes

⇒ the Minute hand covers 360° in 5 × 12 minutes

⇒ the Minute hand covers 30° in 5 minutes

we know that the angular displacement is the angle subtended by the radii of the sector formed by the minute hand.

⇒ clearly the angle subtended by the minute hand in 5 minutes is 30°

so the angular displacement of the minute hand in 5 minutes is 30°

Anonymous: i think the question should be for 5 minutes.
Anonymous: sorry for the mistake. .i rarely commit a mistake in problems. .i assumed you were asking linear displacement.
Anonymous: I did'nt get that. .pardon me would you clear me again? did i make a mistake again?
