The ANIMALS found in particular area are termed as FAUNA.
All the animals and microorganisms found in a particular area are referred to as fauna.
All the PLANTS found in a particular area are termed as FLORA.
The FLORA AND FAUNA of a place together from the biodiversity of that place.

Biodiversity or biological diversity refers to the existence of a wide range of different types of organisms in a given place at a given time.

The species of PLANTS AND ANIMALS which are found exclusively in a place are called and ENDEMIC SPECIES.
