“Amigo Brothers” by Juan Pedro Piri Thomas is one of the best stories on friendship. In this story, the writer portrays two friends Antonio Cruz and Felix Vargas, and eventually they both found themselves fighting against each other for Golden Gloves. Realising what worse could happen, they left the ring before the winning announcement was done.
However if I would have found myself as the announcer inside the ring and standing alone, I had to express myself to cherish their fighting spirits with mucho corazón.
My announcement be, “Ladies and Gentlemen. Señores and Señoras. The winner and representative to the Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions is none other than the fighting spirits of the two young lads Antonio and Felix. They have not only fought to the death but in the end they both have shown what friendship means. To prove that friendship is more than Golden Gloves, they are rejoicing the victory of their friendship under the open sky.”
