Given : The annual income of a man is $ 75,000, correct to the nearest 100

To Find :  the lower and the upper bounds of his account

Solution:

The annual income of a man is $ 75,000, correct to the nearest 100

Hence  income  ≥ 74950  will be considered as 75,000,

< 75050 will be considered as 75,000,

so  74950   <  Income <  75050

Income  [ 74950 , 75050)

Lower Bound is   74950

Upper bound is  75050
