Saving = Income - Expense

6x - 4y = 3000...(i)

5x - 3y = 3000...(ii)

(i)-(ii)=== x - y = 0.... x=y

6x-4x = 3000.... 2x=3000... x=1500

Babu's income = 6x = 6*1500 = Rs.9000

and their expense be 4y and 3y respectively.

given, savings is Rs.3000 for both

Income = Expense + Savings

Babu's Income: 6x = 4y + 3000 ⇒ 6x-4y = 3000......(1)

David's Income: 5x =  3y + 3000 ⇒5x-3y = 3000......(2)

(1) × 3 ⇒ 18x - 12y = 9000 ............(3)

(2) × 4 ⇒ 20x - 12y = 12000..........(4)

Solving (3) & (4), we get, x = 1500

Babu's Income = 6x = 6(1500) = 9000

David's Income = 5x = 5(1500) = 7500
