Arun's annual salary = 7,68,000 Rs.

Therefore, his monthly salary = 7,68,000 ÷ 12 = 64000 Rs.

Now,
expenditure on children = 12,000 Rs.

# Money left = 64,000 - 12,000
= 52,000 Rs.

Now,
expenditure on food = 1/13 of rest
= 1/13 of 52000
= 1/13 × 52000
= 1 × 4000
= 4000 Rs.

# Money left = 52,000 - 4,000
= 48,000 Rs

Now,
expenditure on mutual funds = 8,000

# Money left = 48,000 - 8,000
= 40,000

\boxed{\red{Hence, \: his\: monthly \: saving \: is \: 40,000\: Rs.}}.
