The annual salary of Mr. Chopra during a financial year was Rupees

14,10,000 (HRA not included). His monthly contribution to PPF is Rupees

5,000; he pays Rupees 50,000 annually as LIC premium and Rupees 72,000

as tuition fees of his two children. He also pays Rupees 12,000 as home loan

principal and Rupees 50,000 as interest on home loan. In the financial year

he donates Rupees 20,000 to PM Relief Fund eligible for 100% exemption. If

Rupees 14,000 are deducted each month from his salary as income tax,

calculate the income tax payable by Mr. Chopra in the last month of the

financial year, as per the old tax regime.
