Answer:

Annual salary of ram = ₹ 2,40,000

Salary increased = ₹ 3,00,000

Percentage increase =

 \ \\  \frac{increased \: value \:  -  \: original \: value}{original \: value}  \times 100

 \huge =  \frac{300000 - 240000 }{ 240000 }  \times 100

  \huge = \frac{60000}{240000}  \times 100

By cutting the zeros

 \huge =  \frac{6}{24}  \times 100

See the attachment in case of the division process

 \huge = 3 \times 100

 \huge = 300

Therefore, 300% increase

Given: The annual salary of Ram is increased from Rs2,40,000 to Rs 3,00,000.

We have to find the percentage of increase in Ram's salary.

We are solving in the following way:

We have,

The annual salary of Ram is increased from Rs2,40,000 to Rs 3,00,000.

The percentage of increase in Ram's salary will be:

\begin{array}{l}=>\frac{\text { increased value }-\text { original value }}{\text { original value }} \times 100 \\\\=>\frac{300000-240000}{240000} \times 100 \\\\=>\frac{60000}{240000} \times 100\end{array}

Solving the above equation further we get,

=>25%

Hence,  the percentage of increase in Ram's salary will be25%.
