Rahul own a rectangular field of length = 400 m

breadth = 200 m

perimeter of a rectangle = 2( l + b )
= 2(400+200)
= 2(600)
= 1200

His friend ramu owns a square field of length = 300 m

perimeter of a square = 4 × side
= 4 × 300
= 1200

The cost of fencing the two fields at rate = 150 per meter

Rahul field = 1200 × 150
= 1,80,000

Ramu field = 1200 × 150
= 1,80,000

1,80,000/1000 = 180

1,80,000/180 =1000

Given the length of the rectangular field of Rahul = 400.

Given the breadth of the rectangular field of Rahul = 200.

We know that Area of the rectangular field = Length * Breadth

                                                                        = 400 * 200

                                                                        = 80000 sq.m.           --------------- (1)

We know that perimeter of rectangular field = 2(l + b)

                                                                          = 2(400 + 200)

                                                                          = 1200m.

Given that his friend Ramu owns a Square field of length 300m.

We know that Area of the square field = side * side

                                                                 = 300 * 300

                                                                 = 90000 sq.m  -------------- (2)

We know that Perimeter of square field = 4 * Side

                                                                   = 4 * 300

                                                                   = 1200m.

Given that cost of fencing per m^2 = 150.

Therefore, Total cost of fencing both the fields = 1200 * 150

                                                                                 = 180000.

Given that in every 10 square meter area, one tree can be planted.

From the equation (1)

The total number of trees can be planted by Rahul = 80000/10

                                                                                      = 8000.

From the equation (2),

The total number of trees can be planted by Ramu = 90000/10

                                                                                     = 9000.

Therefore Ramu can plant 1000 trees more than Rahul.

Hope this helps!   ----------------------- Good Luck..
