The answer to: find the smallest number which when divided by 15 and 24 leaves a remainder of 13 is = (L.C.M.) of 15 and 24 + remainder (13)
= 133

15= 3*5

24=2^3*3

thus LCM (15,24)=2^3*3*5

=8*3*5=120

the remainder is 13 both the time and 13 is less than both 15 and 24

thus the the said number=120+13=133
