Answer:

because glucose and starch do not ionise in water while sulfuric and acetic acid do ionise in water and release H+ ions which make the medium acidic

Answer:

Going by Arrhenius theory that acids are substances that dissociate in water to yield ions Hydrogen ion H⁺ bases ionize in water to yield Hydroxide ions OH⁻.

Acids can be classified as strong and weak acids. Strong acids are acids that dissociate/ionize completely in water while weak acids do not.

Strong acids are HCl, H₂SO₄ and HNO₃ while rest of acids are weak acids.

Since Sulphuric acid is a strong acid, it shows acidic properties while glucose being weak acid, doesn't ionize completely. Starch is either a base or neutral.
