The Arabari forests in West Bengal are famous as conserve forests.

This forest became famous after the involvement of local people who formed a community along with the village officers and forest officials, who made sure that there was no major deforestation, land poaching or illegal animal hunting in the forest.

This increased the flora and fauna reserve of the forest and the forest was found to become more thick and dense in about 10 years. These type of forests are mainly located in the “tropical developing world” and have “growing human populations”.
