Length of Side of Square

Answer: When side of the square is 4 units , area and perimeter will be numerically equal.

Explanation:

Given that area and perimeter of square are numerically equal.

Need to determine the possible length of side of square

so lets assume side of square = a units

so perimeter of square = 4 × side of square = 4a

And area of square = side  × side = side² =

As Area and perimeter are numerically equal

=>  a² = 4a

=> a = 4

hence when side of the square is 4 units , area and perimeter will be numerically equal.

area will be side² = 4 x 4 = 16 square unit  and perimeter will be 4 x side = 4 x 4 = 16 units.
