Given :

  • Area of rhombus = 75 cm
  • Length of diagonal ( d₁ ) = 15 cm

To FinD :

  • Length of the other diagonal ( d₂ )

Solution :

Area of rhombus = ½( d₁ × d₂ )

→ 75 = ½ ( 15 × d₂ )

→ 75 × 2 = 15d₂

→ 150 = 15d₂

→ d₂ = 150/15

→ d₂ = 10

Length of the other diagonal is 10 cm

Answer:

  • Length of other diagonal = 10cm

Given :

  • Area of rhombus = 75cm
  • Length of one diagonal = 15cm

To find :

  • Length of other diagonal.

Formula to be used :

\boxed {\sf {\underline Area \: of \: rhombus = \dfrac {D_1 \times D_2}{2} }}

Solution :

\sf {  Area \: of \: rhombus = \dfrac {D_1 \times D_2}{2} }

 : \implies \sf { 75 = \dfrac { 15 \times D_2}{2} }

 : \implies \sf { 75 \times 2 = 15 \times D_2}

 : \implies \sf { D_2 = 10cm}

 \boxed {\small {\mathfrak {\underline {\green {Length \: of \: other \: diagonal \: = 10 cm}}}}}

What is rhombus ?

  • Rhombus is a special type of parallelogram that has all sides equal. Rhombus is quadrilateral whose all sides are equal.

Properties of rhombus :

  • In a rhombus all sides are equal
  • In a rhombus opposite angles are equal.
  • Also, in a rhombus the sum of adjacent angles are supplementary i.e. (∠B + ∠C = 180°).
  • In a rhombus, if one angle is right, then all angles are right
