Answer:

67.6875 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of the room = 3b

Hence, breadth = b

Lateral surface area = 114 m²

2h(3b + b) = 114

6(3b + b) = 114

24b = 114

b = 4.75 m

3b = 14.25 m

Area of the floor = l * b

                           = 4.75 * 14.25

                           = 67.6875 m²

SOLUTION___(◕ᴗ◕✿)

Given, area of room= 114m^2

length= 3x

breadth= x

height= 3m

Now,

lateral surface area of room=2h(l+b)

=114m^2= 2×3(3x+x)

=114m^2= 6× 4x

=4x= 114m^2/6m

=4x= 19m

=x= 19/4

x= 4.75m

So, length= 3x= 3×4.75= 14.25m

breadth=x= 4.75m

Area of floor= length×breadth

= (14.25×4.75)m^2

=67.68m^2 Ans.
