The area of 4 walls of a room is 210 sq m . If the length of the room is twice its breadth and the walls are 5 m high, Find the area of the floor.

║⊕ANSWER⊕║

Let the breadth of the room be x.

=> Length will be 2x.

    Height of the walls = 5m

The area of 4 walls= 210 m²

∴ The value of x =

2( l+b) h = 210\\2(2x + x)5=210\\2(3x) 5 = 210\\(6x)5=210\\30 x= 210\\x = 7

∴ The breadth of the room is x = 7 m

so the length of the room will be 2x = 2 * 7

                                                               =14 m

The area of the floor = length * breadth

                                     =7 * 14

                                     =98 m²

Answer:

Area of floor = 98 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

We Have :-

Length = 2 ( Breadth )

Height = 5 m

The area 4 of walls = 210 cm²

To Find :-

Area of the floor

Formula Used :-

LSA of Cuboid = 2 ( l + b ) h

Solution :-

Let the breadth be x

2 ( 2x + x ) 5 = 210

3x = 21

x = 7 m

Breadth = 7 m

Length = 2 * 7 = 14 m

Area of Floor = Length * Breadth

= 14 * 7

= 98 m²

Area of floor = 98 m²
