Answer:

Let height of the room be 'h' meters

Area of four walls of a cuboid is its lateral surface area.

Formula for lateral surface area is 2*(Length+breadth)*height OR 2(l+b)h

According to question

Lateral surface area = 2(l+b)h

57.4 m^2 = 2( 5m + 3.2m)h

57.4 = 2(5+3.2)h

57.4 = 2*8.2*h

57.4 = 16.4h

Dividing both sides by 16.4

57.4/16.4 = 16.4h/16.4

3.5 = h

Therefore, the height of the room is 3.5m
