The area of the four walls = 2(l+b) h

L= 5 cm ,b = 3.2 cm h= ?

2( l + b ) h = 57. 4

2 ( 5 + 3.2 ) h = 57.4

2 × 8. 2 ×h = 57.4

h = 57.4 / 2× 8.2

h = 7 /2.

Therefore height ( h ) = 3.5 m

Dear Student,

● Answer -

h = 3.5 m

◆ Explaination -

# Solution -

LSA = 57.4 sq.m

l = 5 m

b = 3.2 m

# Solution -

Lateral surface area of the room is -

LSA = 2lh + 2bh

LSA = 2h (l + b)

57.4 = 2×h (5 + 3.2)

57.4/2 = h × 8.2

h = 28.7 / 8.2

h = 3.5 m

Hence, the height of the room is 3.5 m.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
