The area of a certain rectangle is 1 m².What is the area of a triangle that was cut off from that rectangle along a line connecting the midpoints of two adjacent sides?

Let make a rectangle using the midpoints.

As we can see the rectangle is 1/4 of complete rectangle.

And the triangle we want is half of that rectangle. So the area is 0.125 m^2. As area of rectangle is 1/4 and area of triangle is 1/8 (1/2 of that of small rectangle.).
