We have to find out the perimeter of circle.

As we know that,

Area of circle  = \pi {r}^{2}

Put the given values in the formula we get

38 .5 = \pi {r}^{2}

 \frac{38.5}{\pi}  =  {r}^{2}

The value of π is 3.14 .

 \frac{38.5}{3.14}  =  {r}^{2}

 {r}^{2}  = 12.26

When square is shift from left to right side it becomes square root.

r =  \sqrt{12.26}

The square root of 12.26 is 3.5 .

r = 3.5

Radius = r = 3.5 cm

Circumference of circle = 2 \times \pi \times r

Put the value of r ,

Circumference of circle = 2 \times \pi \times 3.5

Circumference of circle = 7 \times \pi

Put the value of π = 3.14
