SOLUTION :

The area of the football ground = 2900 m sq,

The breadth of the football ground = 29 m

To be found :-

The length of the football ground

The length and breadth of the football ground is there

so, it is a rectangular ground

The formula for finding the area of rectangle = lb unit sq.

[ ∴ In which l is the length and b is the breadth of the rectangle ]

Area of the rectangular football ground = 2900 m sq.

⇒ lb = 2900

⇒ l × 29 = 2900                    [ as the breadth is given = 29 m ]

⇒ l = 2900 ÷ 29

⇒ l = 100

Hence,

The length of the football ground is 100 m
