Given :-

  • Area of Parallelogram = 216cm²
  • Base is 6 times the height

To find :-

  • Height of Parallelogram

Solution :-

As we know that

Area of Parallelogram = base × height

Let the height be x then its base be 6x

According to the question

→ 216 = 6x*x

→ 6x² = 216

→ x² = 216/6

→ x² = 36

→ x = √36

→ x = 6 cm

Hence,

  • Height of cylinder is 6cm

Extra Information

  • Area of rectangle = length × breadth
  • Area of square = side × side
  • Perimeter of square = 4 × side
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)
  • Area of rhombus = ½ × product of diagonals
  • Area of trapezium = ½ × sum of parallel sides × height

Given ,

  • The area of a parallelogram is 216 cm²

  • The base of parallelogram is 6 times the height

Let ,

  • The height of parallelogram be " x "

We know that , the area of parallelogram is given by

 \boxed{ \sf{Area = base \times height}}

Thus ,

 \sf \mapsto 216 = x \times 6x \\  \\ \sf \mapsto  {(x)}^{2}  = 36 \\  \\ \sf \mapsto x =± 6 \: m

Since , the length can't be negative

\therefore \underline{ \sf{ The \:  height  \: of  \: parallelogram \:  is \:  6 \:  m}}
