Let the base be 'h'.

So, height is 2h.

Area of a parallelogram = b x h
                                      =   2h^{2}

Given,  b x h = 338 unit sq.
[tex] 2h^{2} = 338
  h^{2} = 169
  h = 13[/tex]

So, base is 13 units and height (altitude) is 26 cm.
