Answer:

  • The required altitude of parallelogram is 14 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given area of a parallelogram is 98 cm square and its altitude is twice the corresponding base.

Here, We know that Area of Parallelogram is Base × Altitude.

By the Given Condition:

∴ Let us assume base of Parallelogram be x. Then,

  • Altitude of Parallelogram will be 2x.

Now, We have to find area of Parallelogram.

  • Area of Parallelogram = Base × altitude

→ Area of Parallelogram = (x) × (2x)

→ 98 = 2x²

→ x² = 98/2

→ x² = 49

→ x = √49

x = 7 cm

Then, Altitude of Parallelogram =) 2x = 14 cm.

  • Therefore, the required altitude of parallelogram is 14 cm.

\huge\textbf\red{Answer:-}

14 cm is the altitude of parallelogram

  • 98cm² is the area of a parallelogram

  • The altitude is twice the given corresponding base.(98cm²)

  • Area of Parallelogram is Base × Altitude.

  • Altitude of Parallelogram = 2x.We need to find area of Parallelogram.

  • Area of Parallelogram = Base × altitude= (x) × (2x)

STEPS:-

→ 98= 2x {}^{2}

 → x {}^{2} =  \frac{98}{2}

→ x {}^{2} = 49

→ x = \sqrt{49}

Hence, 2x = 14 cm is the attitude of the parallelogram.
