Area of rectangle= Area of parallelogram

Area of rectangle= 40*12

=480 cm^2

Area of parallelogram=b*h

480=16*h

h=480/16

h=30 cm

Area of parallelogram= Area of rectangle

base \times 16 = 40 \times 12 \\ base \times 16 = 480 \\ base = \frac{480}{16} \\ base = 30 cm
