The area of a parallelogram is same as that of a rectangle with dimension 40 cm by 12 cm if the base of the parallelogram is 16 cm find the height of the parallelogram

Area of the rectangle = length x breadth

= 40 x 12 = 480sq.cms

Area of the parallelogram = base xheight

= 16 x height

=> 16 x height = 480

=> height = 480/16= 30 cms

Height of the parallelogram = 30cms
