Given :

The area of a parallelogram is the same as that of a rectangle with dimension 20 cm by 12 cm.

To Find :

If the base of the parallelogram is 16 cm ,find the corresponding height of the parallelogram solve sum

Solution:

Length of rectangle  = 20 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 12 cm

Area of rectangle = Length \times breadth = 20 \times 12

Base of parallelogram = 16 cm

Let the length of height of parallelogram be h

Area of parallelogram =16h

We are given that The area of a parallelogram is the same as that of a rectangle

So,  20 \times 12 =16 h\\\frac{20 \times 12}{16}=h\\15 = h

Hence The corresponding height of the parallelogram is 15 cm
