Correct Question :-

  • The area of a parallogram with base 15cm is 120cm². Find the length of altitude to the corresponding base.

To find :-

  • The length of altitude to the corresponding base.

Solution :-

  • Area of Parallelogram = 120cm

  • Base of Parallelogram = 15cm

As we know that

→ Area of Parallelogram = b × h

Where " b " is base and " h " is height

  • According to question

→Area of Parallelogram = 120

→ b × h = 120

→ 15 × h = 120

→ h =120/15

→ h = 8

Hence,

  • The length of altitude to the corresponding base is 8 cm

Verification :-

→ Area of Parallelogram = 120 cm²

→ b × h = 120

→ 15 × 7 = 120

→ 120 = 120

  • Hence verified

Given

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Area of parallelogram = 120cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Base = 15cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To Calculate

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Altitude of parallelogram

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf\implies Area = Base \times Altitude

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf\implies 120 = 15 \times altitude

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf\implies \frac{120}{15} = altitude

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf\implies altitude =  \frac{120}{15}

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf\implies altitude = 8cm

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Therefore, Altitude of parallelogram is 8cm.
