12 1/4 into improper fraction = 49/4

1 6/7= 13/7

area of parallelogram = hight × base(x)

49/4 cm² = 13/7× x

49 × 7= (13× 4) × x

343 = 52x

343/52 = x

6 31/52 = x

hence base (x) = 6 31/52 cm
