the area of a playground is 4800 m square. find the cost of covering it with gravel 1 cm deep, if the gravel costs rs.4.80 per cubic metre

solution:

1 cm = 0.01m

total cubic meter to fill with gravel = 0.01*4800

= 48

therefore total cost = 48*4.80

=230.4
