Answer :-

12 cm

Solution :-

Diagonal of the Quadrilateral ABCD ( d ) = AC = 25 cm

Length of the perpendicular drawn om AC from B ( h1 ) = 14 cm

Let the length of the perpendicular drawn on AC from D be h2

Area of the Quadrilateral ABCD = 325 cm²

Also, Area of the Quadrilateral = d/2 × (h1 + h2)

==> 325 = 25/2 × (14 + h2)

==> 325 × 2 = 25 × (14 + h2)

==> 650/25 = 14 + h2

==> 26 = 14 + h2

==> 26 - 14 = h2

==> 12 = h2

==> h2 = 12

Therefore the length of the perpendicular on AC from D is 12 cm.

QUESTION :-

The area of a quadrilateral ABCD is 325cm?

Find the length of the perpendicular drawn from

D on AC 25cm and the length of the

Perpendicular from B on AC is 14 cm .

SOLUTION :-

➠ diagonal of the quadrilateral ABCD is (d) = AC= 25cm.

➠ the length of the perpendicular drawn from

D on AC is ( h2)

➠ the length of the Perpendicular from B on AC is (h1) = 14cm.

.°. Area of quadrilateral ABCD = d/2 × (h1 + h2)

➠ 325 = 25/2 × (14+ h2)

➠ 325 = 12.5 × ( 14 + h2)

➠ 325/12.5 = (14 + h2)

➠ 26 = 14 + h2

➠ h2 = 26 - 14

.°. h2 = 12cm.

.°. the length of the perpendicular drawn from D on AC is 12cm.
