The length of the diagonal is 5 m.

Given - Area and length of the perpendicular

Find - Length of diagonal

Solution - The formula to calculate the length of the diagonal will be -

Area of quadrilateral = (½) × diagonal length × sum of the length of the perpendiculars drawn from the remaining two vertices.

Keep the values in the formula to find the length of the diagonal.

10 =  \frac{1}{2  }\times \: diagonal  \: length \times (1.5 + 2.5)

Shifting 2 to LHS and performing addition on RHS

10 \times 2 = diagonal  \: length \times 4.0

Shifting 4.0 to LHS and performing division and multiplication

 \frac{20}{4.0}  = diagonal \:  length

diagonal length = 5 m

Hence, the length of the diagonal is 5 m.
