Given:

  • The area of a quadrilateral shaped field is 252m².
  • The opposite corners on a diagonal are 8m and 13m.

To find:

  • The length of a diagonal ?

Solution:

• Let's consider ABCD is a quadrilateral.

Where,

  • H₁ = 8m
  • H₂ = 13m
  • Area = 252m²

• Let height of the quadrilateral be h.

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

« Now, Finding area of quadrilateral by using the formula,

Area = d/2(H₁ + H₂)

→ d/2(13 + 8) = 252

→ d/2(21) = 252

→ 10.5d = 252

→ d = 252/10.5

→ d = 24cm

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

∴ Hence, Length of a diagonal of a Quadrilateral is 24cm.
