The area of a quater cicle =(90°/360°)πr²
But area is given as 38.5cm²
⇒(90/360)πr² = 38.5
⇒(1/4)(22/7)r² =38.5
⇒(11/14)r² = 38.5
⇒ r² = (38.5×14)/11
⇒ r² = 539/11
⇒ r² = 49
⇒ r = √49
∴ r = 7
∴radius = 7cm
∴the answer is C. 7cm
