12^2 + B^2 = 13^2

Now you know the base A and height B, you can calculate the area.

Answer:

First we have to find the height of the triangle, bec. Area of right angle tri.is 0.5 × base× height

Now,

By using pythagoras theorem,

H^2= P^2+ B^2

13^2=P^2+12^2

169=P^2+144

P^2=169-144

P^2=25

P = 5

Height of the tri. = 5 cm

Area of the tri. = 0.5 × b× h

=0.5 × 12 × 5 cm^2

=30 cm^2
