Answer:

A/Q

ar(Sq)=ar(Rect)

a²= lb (ar(sq=a²) ar(rect)=lxb))

a²= 16(9)

a²=144

a= /\|144

a= 12

Terefore the value of 1 side of the sq is 12cm

Pl: /\| means "root"

=> Area of the rectangles

=> 16 × 9 = 144

=> Area of the rectangles and squares are equal

=> But we know that area of the square is a^2

=> Hence a^2 = 144

=> so a = 12

=> Hence the side of the square is 12 cm

I hope this will help you dear..
