Step-by-step explanation:

let breadth be x

and length be y

therefore area of rectangle=xy

from first condition,

xy-9=(y-5)(x+3)

xy-9=xy+3y-5x-15

therefore, the first equation becomes 5x-3y=-6

similarly from second condition

the equation becomes

3x+2y=61

(solve the equation )

ans:x= breadth=9units

y=length=17

hope you'll understand it
