MATHS

ANSWER

It is given that

Area of rectangle =1936 sq. m

Take breath =x m

Length=4x m

So we get

x

2

=1936

By further calculation

x

2

=1936/4=484

We know that

It can be writ.ten as

x=

484

=

2×2×11×11

By further calculation

2×11

=22

Here

Length=4x=4×22=88 m

Breadth=x=22m

Given :

The area of a rectangle is 1936 sq. m.if the length of the rectangle is 4 times it's breath

To find :

find the dimensions of the rectangle

Solution :

area of rectangle

A = 1936 sq.cm

let length and breadth of the rectangle are l and b respectively

⇛ l = 4b

then

⇛ A = l x b

⇛ A = l x l/4

⇛ l² = 4A

⇛ l² = 4 x 1936

⇛ 7744 cm²

⇛ l = √7744 cm

l = 88 cm

⇛ b = l/4

⇛ b = 88/4

b = 22 cm
