4x^2=1936

x^2=1936/4=484

x=root of 484=22

length=4x22=88

breadth=44

Given:

  • Area of a rectangle is 1936 sq meters.
  • Length of the rectangle is 4 times its breadth.

AnSwer:

★ l = 4b (given)

ATQ,

 \implies \sf \:  \: Area \:  of \:  rectangle =length \times breadth \\  \\  \implies \sf \:  \:1936 {m}^{2} = 4x \times x \\  \\  \implies \sf \:  \:{x}^{2} =  \dfrac{1936}{4}  \\ \\   \implies \sf \:  \:{x}^{2}  = 484 \\  \\ \implies \sf \:  \: x =\sqrt{484}  \\ \\   \implies \sf \:  \:x = 22 cm

The dimension of rectangle, that is, length = 4b = 4(22) =88m.

  • Length = 88m
  • Breadth = 22m
