The breadth of the rectangle = 1 m

Given :

The area of a rectangle is 2 sq.m and its length is 2m

To find :

The breadth of the rectangle

Formula Used :

Area of a rectangle = Length × Breadth

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Form the equation to calculate breadth of the rectangle

Area of the rectangle = 2 sq.m

Length of the rectangle = 2 m

Let breadth of the rectangle = b metre

Area of a rectangle = Length × Breadth

So by the given condition

2 × b = 2

Step 2 of 2 :

Calculate breadth of the rectangle

\displaystyle \sf 2 \times b = 2

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies }b =  \frac{2}{2}

\displaystyle \sf{ \implies }b = 1

Hence breadth of the rectangle = 1 m
